Data privacy in Veeva CRM
HCP records that can opted-out or anonymized in Network for data privacy.
Opted-out and anomyized records can flow to Veeva CRM and can impact features like territory alignment, account status, and Network Account Search.
newspaperAnonymized HCPs
Before HCP records can be anonymized, the record state must be set to DELETED. Network records that are DELETED are not updated in CRM by default.
You can configure CRM so the Network Bridge will update the records and anonymize them in CRM.
In Veeva CRM, configure the following settings:
-
Enhanced Sync - This feature must be enabled.
To learn more, see the Enhanced Inactive Record Sync option in these topics:
-
FILTER_INACTIVE_NETWORK_RECORDS_vod - This setting must be set to 1.
To learn more, see Handling Inactive Network Records in the Veeva CRM Online Help.
When these options are set, records will be anonymized in the Network Bridge process.
Opted out and anonymized addresses in Veeva CRM
When opted-out and anonymized addresses are pushed to Veeva CRM, the Address Line1 field is populated with a data privacy value, for example, Client Data Privacy or Anonymized Record. This is the same value that is populated in the Name field on the account in CRM.
Note: This is enabled by default for all customers. No configuration for Network or Veeva CRM is required.
Example - Anonymized record
Example - Customer opted-out record
Example - OpenData opted-out record
Supported addresses
This enhancement applies to addresses that are opted-out and anonymized in Network starting in Network version 23R3.1.
Addresses that were opted-out and anonymized before 23R3.1 are not backfilled with these values in Network or in Veeva CRM. For these reccords, the Address Line 1 field value is masked with the address ID.
