Integrations FAQs
Review the following frequently asked questions (FAQs) for the Network MDM integrations.
General
What is the purpose of integrations with Veeva Network MDM?
To connect Veeva Network MDM with other systems and products to share and synchronize data.
What types of data are typically synchronized through integrations?
Customer master data (HCPs, HCOs), affiliations, and potentially other relevant business data depending on the integrated system.
How can I monitor the health of all my integrations in one place?
The Integration Dashboard provides a high-level overview of system health. It visualizes recent job statuses, identifies frequent errors—such as mapping or transformation issues—and highlights data flow trends. This allows administrators to proactively resolve bottlenecks before they impact downstream systems.
What is the Integration Dashboard in Veeva Network MDM?
A central place to monitor and manage data integration jobs and connections with external systems.
What kind of information can I find on the Integration Dashboard?
Status of integration jobs, connection details, and potentially error logs.
How do I know if an integration is working correctly?
The Integration Dashboard typically displays the status of recent integration jobs, indicating success or failure.
Scheduling and history
What is the Job Calendar used for?
The Job Calendar is a visual scheduling tool that displays all scheduled, running, and completed jobs. It helps prevent scheduling conflicts by showing concurrent tasks and allows you to drill down into specific job details or logs directly from the calendar view.
Can I see the history of integration jobs?
The Integration Dashboard or job logs should provide information on past integration activities.
Veeva Network Bridge
What is the Network-CRM Bridge and how does it differ from standard subscriptions?
The Network-CRM Bridge is a specialized integration tool that automates data synchronization between Network MDM and Veeva CRM (or Vault CRM). Unlike standard target subscriptions that only export files, the Bridge transforms data into CRM-specific formats, manages account mappings, and triggers record merges or deactivations in CRM immediately upon job completion.
How does Network MDM integrate with Vault CRM?
Network MDM offers a native Vault CRM Bridge designed specifically for the Vault platform. Key highlights include real-time processing of Data Change Requests (DCRs), the ability to search and download records from OpenData directly within the Vault CRM interface, and a Data Launch Accelerator to quickly build the necessary configurations for new country or org connections.
Connectors and external systems
What is the purpose of the Network Concur Connector?
The Concur Connector synchronizes healthcare professional (HCP) data from Network MDM with SAP Concur to streamline expense reporting. By ensuring that Concur users select the exact HCP record from the master database, it eliminates duplicate data entry for sales reps and ensures accurate recordkeeping for aggregate spend (Sunshine Act) reporting.
Can I link external Vault documents or data to Network MDM record profiles?
Yes. Through Vault Data Components, you can display structured data or documents stored in Veeva Vault (such as compliance documents, speaker contracts, or marketing materials) directly within the Network MDM UI. This creates a cross-functional workflow where users can view master customer data alongside related content without switching applications.
Configuration
Where can I manage the settings for my integrations?
Integration configurations are usually managed within a specific administration section of Veeva Network MDM.
