Network Address Inheritance

Network Address Inheritance simplifies address management by copying the address of a parent HCO to its child HCPs and HCOs.

When address inheritance is applied:

  • A set of fields are copied from the parent address.

Address ordinals are not inherited from the parent address.

  • Address inheritance runs when entities are updated through DCRs, data loads, or through scheduled refreshes.
  • Address inheritance can be managed when data stewards are processing data change requests.

Supported records

  • Locally managed records

Network Address Inheritance logic is skipped for Veeva OpenData and third-party master records.
